Origin: Sorbitan oleate is produced by esterification of sorbitan with oleic acid in a solvent-free mixture of fatty acids and molten anhydrous sorbitol with chemical catalysts.

Overview: Sorbitan Oleate is a vegetable-based oil-in-water emulsifier used for making stable water-in-oil creams and lotions. It can be sued with polysorbates and other high HLB emulsifiers.
